Union County Improvement Authority Selects Minority-Owned Firm, DIGroup Architecture, to Design $100 Million Government Complex

Major civic project consolidates County Administration and Social Services

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ DIGroup Architecture, one of area’s largest minority-owned architectural firms, was awarded a new two-building, 225,000 square foot Government Complex by the Union County Improvement Authority. The project represents the culmination of the county’s master plan to reduce lease and overhead costs while providing efficient service delivery for county residents. The Complex brings social services and county administration into one location at 61-99 West Grand Street in Elizabeth, NJ 

DIGroup Architecture is responsible for the programming and design of the facility, which will streamline departmental functions into one centralized hub:

“This is an extraordinary investment by the county to create a centralized facility, that promotes efficient delivery of essential services to county residents in a welcoming and healthy environment,” DIGroup President Vincent Myers said. “We envision this project as a catalyst for change that symbolizes the enduring bond between government and the people whom they serve.”

Completion of construction and occupancy is anticipated for Spring 2023.
