Through a long-term partnership with JCHC, DIG has helped create premier assisted, independent living and memory care facilities for the Jewish community in both South Orange and Whippany, NJ. The alterations to Heller Independent Living and Weston Assisted Living will provide modern, accessible amenities to the residents and support a greater sense of community.
As a client since 2015, DIG has partnered with the JCHC and the Lester Senior Living management to update their amenity offerings on both the 1st and 2nd floor in their existing Assisted Living and Independent Living communities. Alterations include a re-envisioning of the first floor area to make a more interactive space for residents, including the café/reading room and refurbished dining room. On the second floor will be a new theater, with tiered seating to enhance resident movie viewing experience complete with THX movie theater quality surround sound, a marquee and a concession area. The renovation will also introduce improved access to the rear courtyard of the building, where residents can enjoy the outdoors. The project will be constructed in phases to minimize disruption to residents and staff.
The goal of the renovations is to bring new life, and interest for potential new residents, to this 30-year old community. DIG will provide graphic collateral to assist with grant applications, resident presentations, and marketing content.
