New Jersey Business Podcast features Vince Myers, DIG President

President Vince Myers was a featured guest recently on New Jersey Business Podcast. The series, hosted by Paul Valverde, highlights thriving business owners and leaders who share their personal journey and secrets to success.

He tells of being inspired by one of the first African American architects in the State of New Jersey— his father — which influenced his personal journey toward architecture and in co-founding one of the area’s largest minority- and disadvantaged-owned architectural and interior design firms.

Vince discusses the firm’s collaborative formation, and how it earned them a reputation for delivering many of the state’s most significant, community-centered projects. To further the firm’s success, Vince speaks to how MBE/DBE certifications has impacted both business strategy and partnerships for acquiring new business.

“It’s important for the community to grow as a whole, to spread economic wealth, to spread economic opportunity across the board, more equitably than we have in the past. That’s why those designations are important.”

The firm has evolved into a large ethnically and culturally diverse staff, reflective of the many communities they serve — offering not just capacity in numbers, but big firm experience.
