DIGroup Architecture President Vincent Myers has been featured by NJBIZ in their recent article which highlighted how developers and builders are considering their impact on the environment and what they are doing to move the industry towards sustainability build change.
In the article, Myers explains that DIGroup is always considering how to be environmentally focused on all its builds.
“‘…[DIGroup’s] work has always been fundamentally sustainable,’ according to Myers. That’s because the firm is considering how energy consumption is evaluated – so the long-term implications of a design – as well as the environment itself and the materials it’s choosing to use.
‘From our standpoint, we always wanted to put materials within buildings that made sense for people that were sustainable because they’re going to last,’ Myers said.”
The article further goes on to expound upon the environmentally positive features of the design and facility of Clinton Hill Early Learning Center such as its inclusion of sustainable elements such as the strategic use of daylighting and the underground storm-water detention system that can store up to 10,000 cubic feet of water.
