Winner of the Citation of Excellence Award for Rutgers University Clinical Academic Suite
New Brunswick, NJ: DIG has received a CITATION OF EXCELLENCE AWARD in educational facility design for the Rutgers University, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Clinical Academic Building Renovation in the spring 2019 edition of LEARNING BY DESIGN magazine.
The project was recognized for its architectural and interior design and for having next generation benchmark type design and planning features worthy of emulation. DIGroupArchitecture is one of only five firms to receive this distinction out of the fifty submissions received in this design competition.
LEARNING BY DESIGN’s distinguished jury of 5 architects and end-user’s applauded DIGroup for its accomplishment in unique and new concepts being implemented to improve education facility building design. The jury comments included:
"Reorganization of the space provided open labs and visual connections between spaces and successfully allows Science to be on display."
"Updated interiors are lively, modern, clean and bright."
"Sophisticated high-education feeling."
This is the second design award DIGroupArchitecture has received for this project. It also received “Honorable Mention” recognition in College Planning & Management magazine’s 2018 Education Design Showcase.
