Award of Camden High School Marks Firm’s Continued Commitment to the Revitalization of NJ’s Urban School Landscape

The new Camden High School, funded by the NJ Schools Development Authority, awarded under a design-build contract, is now listed among DIGroupArchitecture’s three “Largest Projects” in its 13-year history valued at $99 million.

The first and second coveted spots are held by two other ground-up high schools designed within NJSDA districts: the $120 million Phillipsburg High School (completed in 2016) and the $115 million Trenton High School (anticipated completion 2019), respectively. The 270,000 square foot, two-story educational structure will serve 1,200 students in grades 9-12 and feature smaller academies dedicated to the Arts, STEAM, Entrepreneurship and Health Sciences. The Camden High School projects adds to an already robust educational portfolio of urban design projects accomplished by the firm – exceeding $1 billion in construction. Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring, and the new school is scheduled to open in September 2020.
