Our Story

DIGroupArchitecture, a Small Business and Minority Owned Business, was formed in 2006 as a merger of four competing architectural firms. We had originally joined forces as a consortium providing services to the New Jersey Schools Development Authority at a time of historically large court mandated construction funding for New Jersey’s public schools. Known as “NJK-12” the consortium was extremely successful at delivering some of the state’s largest and most significant projects.

The collaboration was so successful that the founding principals decided to formally merge to become “Design Ideas Group,” taking full advantage of the complement of experience each brought to the table. This allowed our accomplished Academic Studio to continue to thrive, while creating additional Studios for Healthcare and Senior Living.

Over time, out clients identified us as “DIG.” Since we place a premium on listening to our clients, Design Ideas Group became DIGroupArchitecture – born of a collaborative partnership – and we value collaborative partnerships. We seek out talent that complements our own for every project we undertake.
